It's Something

My rain gauge registered half an inch of rain overnight, and there is a dewy freshness to the morning sunshine.

It was a gentle, light rain.

The garden gloves I left out on the potting bench are soggy.

But that was not nearly enough, and when I dig even an inch down I get dusty puffs. We need a soaker. We need several soakers over several days.

But half an inch of gentle rain is something.
